The Institute of Communication Acoustics researches and develops methods for

• speech and audio communication,
• music signal processing in cochlear implants,
• robust speech and pattern recognition
• and the analysis and synthesis of acoustic scenes.

The focus is on methods of statistical signal processing, signal detection, and estimation,
machine learning and the modeling of (electro-) acoustic systems.
